Choose Love
Hello 2015!
As we enter a new circle around the sun, we are encouraged to reflect on life, love and the pursuit of happiness. Each year, we tend to make false promises to ourselves and feel discouraged when we fall short on those promises. Don’t fall into this trap again.
If you are considering a few resolutions, consider this instead.

1) Offer Gratitude.
Appreciate all the gifts and blessings in your life.
Home: a place to lay your head and feel comfort.
Family: whether by blood, friendship or community.
Body: a majestic being that is wholly and completely you!
Breath: continuous energy pumping life force into your body.
Intellect: enough smarts to do this reflection, to trust your intuition and to stay motivated.
Acknowledge these simple blessings and even more and be grateful for everything that is present in your life in this moment. Realize we don’t need much more than that.
2) See Possibility.
Discover the beauty in all things. Find possibility in everything. Don’t become jaded.
There are enough naysayers in your life that want to bring you down. Rise above all of the negativity, take the higher road and create something spectacular for yourself.
Your positive energy and outlook will inspire others to see that same potential in themselves. Stay true to you. Motivate and inspire. Be optimistic but realistic.
3) Take risks.
Feel like something is missing? Ask for what you want.
Don’t feel supported? Ask for what you need.
Not happy with your job? Quit.
Ready for a new city? Move.
Feeling stuck in the same routine? Get outside of your comfort zone and shock yourself!
There is risk in every decision you make but there is also potential on the other side of that decision: a reward and/or a lesson. To me, they are one in the same. Lessons help us grow to be better people and isn’t that the only reward we ever really need?
4) Choose love!
Allow every action, every step, every moment of the next 365 days to come from a place of love. When we move from a place of love, we are genuine, authentic and sincere.

As I reflect on the last 30 years of my life, I realize that I generally move from a place of love and I can’t say that I have regrets doing so. I’ve experienced failure, heartbreak, sadness, disappointment, etc. but when I move from this authentic place, I know my heart was in the right place even if the cards didn’t fall in my favor.
I will always be grateful for all of the lessons. And I will always choose love!
I hope you will follow me on this journey so we can all become better versions of ourselves!
Remember, you are spectacular!
Happy New Year Everybody!

Incredibly Beautiful and Poetic. Your thoughts, hopes and dreams make me realize what a truly insightful wonderful woman you have now become. And you still keep that open optimistic positive attitude that I’ve known in a little girl that I’ve seen over all these years. The World can be really trying at times and it’s hard to lose track of what is truly important. I’m with you, Gratitude, Possibilities, Risks are important lessons to follow and pursue and needs to be supported by LOVE. I Love You Darling Daughter
